Welcome Teardown Attendeeees

I hope that you got your goody bag because here is where we will talk a little bit about it.... 

One of the nifty things we included was a strange white puck with wires sticking out of it.  
This was originally part of some sort of CPR education system but we can't discuss the details of the manufacturer  as we were under orders to dismantle the assembly.  

From our basic tinkering and dismantling of the puck we discovered that it has i2c interface as well as an analog output from the accelerometer.  
Grey wire is +5v
Red wire is accelerometer output  
Green wire is SCL  
Black wire is SDA  
Orange is WP  
Blue is ground  

The contents of the puck is seriously well potted and not meant to come apart but using our fancy sharp tools and a liberal usage of band aids we managed to get one apart.

The accellerometer is PN ADXL323.  While this chip has two outputs only one of them is ran to the red wire.  
The board is mounted sideways so the X axis output is setup to go up and down and the signal is shown.  

I setup my trusty o-scope and hooked up 5v.  
I was able to see half the voltage at the output pin and if I hit the puck gently I could see the voltage levels shift. 

I connected up the i2c wires to my rp2040 and set it to scan the bus.  I received a whole bunch of Addresses as a responses which I think means that there is an eprom in there somewhere.  

I have not had time to tinker further and look forward to updating this page with info that you Teardown folks find out.
